St Peter's United Charities

Over the centuries, a number of benefactors have left money to St Peter’s Church, with instructions that it be used for specific purposes, such as assisting people in need. Since 1917 these bequests have been brought together into a registered charity known as St Peter’s United Charities. The Trustees of St Peter’s United Charities are able to make a small number of grants each year to needy individuals living in the city of Nottingham or surrounding districts. Applications or enquiries are welcome from referrers such as clergy (or other religious leaders), social workers and support organisations on behalf of applicants. Individuals cannot apply in their own right. Grants, usually of amounts up to £150, can be awarded for essential basic items that applicants are unable to afford for themselves. In certain circumstances, grants may be considered to help provide other types of support to those in need. Applications can be submitted at any time and a decision should be received within two weeks of a full, supported, application being received. Available for download:

Any correspondence for the charity, including grant application forms, may be sent by email or by post to: The Clerk, St Peter’s United Charities, St Peter’s Centre, St Peter’s Square, Nottingham NG1 2NW. It is not at present possible to contact the charity by telephone.
