You are here: Services » The Eucharist
The Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, or the Mass, is at the centre of the worship at all three churches in the parish, and is usually held every Sunday at each church. There are also celebrations of the Eucharist during the week - see the Services Times page for details.
The Eucharist is centred around the sharing of consecrated bread and wine, which represent the body and blood of Christ. In this way, the sacrifice made by Christ in dying for our salvation is commemorated.
The Order of Service for the Eucharist during Ordinary Time, as followed at St Peter's, can be found here.
