Biography

Richard has been a regular chorister at St Peter's Nottingham since coming to The University of Nottingham in 2004 to study Computer Science. In this time he was taught the Piano and Organ under the direction of Philip Collin, and began playing services at All Saint's church approximately every month. In recent years, Richard has reduced his playing to "as required" now that the organist team has grown to have three Associate Organists. This enables him to be available for the Choir of St Peter's more regularly. On occasion Richard has been pleased to accept tutelage from the current Director of Music, Peter Siepmann.

Before moving to Nottingham, Richard was privately taught Piano and Organ by the Head of Music at Canford School, Christopher Sparkhall. During this time Richard was also the organ scholar at St Mary's, Fordingbridge.
