As a Fairtrade parish, we support the work of Traidcraft. Working in over 30 developing countries throughout the world, Traidcraft aims to eliminate poverty through the fair sale of food, craft and textile products:
"Our mission is to fight poverty through trade, practising and promoting approaches to trade that help poor people in developing countries transform their lives."
Traidcraft works by:
At St Peter's (in the parish centre, next to the coffee room), we have a small Traidcraft shop, selling a good range of Fairtrade foods, jewellery, gifts, cards, toys and textiles. Staffed wholly by volunteers, the shop is open 10.30am-2pm Monday-Wednesday & Friday. The Traidcraft range is so large that we are not able to stock everything, but if the item you require isn't currently in the shop, we are able to order this for you. We also supply products to several church groups throughout Nottingham, helping to widen the message of Traidcraft.
