Six Lent talks on God's creation and the ecological, technological and political crises facing human society

Venue: St Peter's church, St Peter's Gate, NG1 2NW (next to M&S)

Thursday 1.00pm to 2.00pm (sandwiches available from 12.30pm)

2nd March:        Fr. Kevin Athaide, St Barnabas Cathedral –
            ‘What is happening to our Common Home’?

9th March:        Rev Christopher Harrison, All Saints, St Mary
            and St Peter:  ‘The Gospel of Creation’

16th March:        Sue Richardson, Christian Aid:
            ‘The human roots of the Ecological Crisis’

23rd March:        Ruth Shelton, former CEO, Emmanuel House:
            ‘Integral Ecology’

30th March:        Paul Bodenham, Chair of ‘Green Christian’:
            ‘Lines of Approach and Action’

6th April:        Rev David Fudger, Mansfield Churches:
            Ecological Education and Spirituality

The talks will explore issues arising from ‘Laudato Si’ – On Care for our Common Home, by Pope Francis.  There will also be weekly discussions on the six themes above on Mondays in Lent, beginning on 6th March, from 6.15 – 7.30 pm in the St Peter’s parish centre
