St Peter’s Lecture – Tuesday 20th October, 6pm
Bishop Peter Selby, 'Instrument or tyrant: do we use money, or does it use us?’

Admission free, refreshments available from 5.30pm

This year’s St Peter’s Lecture is being given by the Rt Revd Peter Selby, former Bishop of Worcester and a special adviser to St Paul's Institute in the City of London.

In advance of the 2007/8 banking crisis Bishop Peter Selby identified in his book Grace and Mortgage many of the dangers facing a world relying on debt. His most recent book, An Idol Unmasked, shows how far our whole monetary system is debt-based and identifies the issues that have become, if anything, more likely to generate crises in the future.
