Thursday 24 November 2011 5.30 pm, St Peter's Church
The third in the series of City Debates took place at St Peter’s Church on Thursday 14th October. The guest speaker, Larry Elliott (Economics Editor of The Guardian) spoke to the audience about the issues surrounding the current economic crisis, and how we, as a society, can expect to recover from it. Larry has recently co-authored a book with Archbishop Rowan Williams, copies of which were available to buy and were signed by Larry on the night. We hope to host another City Debate early next year.
30th September sees the publication of a new book jointly written by Archbishop Rowan Williams and The Guardian's Economics Editor, Larry Elliott. (A 6 minute introductory video by Rowan Williams can be seen on Amazon.co.uk). At the next in the series of City Debates (Tuesday 14th October) we will welcome Larry Elliott as our guest speaker. The book will be on sale for £12, and Larry will be signing copies. The debate will take place at St Peter's Church at 6.30pm, with coffee available from 6pm. Entrance is free, and all are welcome to attend.
